::Are there other ways to type?::

The most common other form of typing is the "hunt and peck" method (or two-fingered typing) which is slower than touch typing because, instead of relying on the memorised position of keys, the typist is required to find each key by sight. This hampers the progress of the typist not only in terms of speed and accuracy, but also the freedom to concentrate on the content, because instead they are having to concentrate on the physical mechanics by typing this way and having to locate each letter separately. There are other self-taught methods, which invariably have inconsistencies and therefore also result in loss of accuracy and speed.
